It was once said, “If you are born in the United States, you’ve won the lottery of life.”
Although life in America can be difficult, there is simply no comparison to the daily challenges of living in the less-developed areas of our world. In point of fact, about half of the world’s population lives on less than $2 US per day and about 1 billion people live on less than $1 US per day. In 2011, Changing Latitudes was formed to raise awareness and funds for the less fortunate. Changing Latitudes is a different kind of non-profit charity: First: No administrative, fundraising, or traveling expenses will reduce the amount of the donated funds. One-hundred cents out of every donated dollar will go to help the less fortunate; Second: There are no middlemen. All donations are hand-delivered to the intended beneficiaries; and Third: Changing Latitudes only offers a helping hand, not a handout. All programs are designed to empower the less fortunate to help themselves. We strive mightily to break the cycle of poverty, not enable it. We hope that you will consider making a donation to support Changing Latitudes. |
